The food is delicious, staff is friendly and the location is casual in a historic town. you can take out or dine in this building right out of the 1800s. The food is all a cart family style portions they do not prepare combination plates like most Chinese restaurants. the menu has something to please everyone I highly recommend this place

Greet place for “Home-Cooked-Style” Chinese food. It was a nice stop for lunch after visiting the old town of Locke! Service was good and food was a comfort before heading back to the Bay Area.

After moving to neighboring Walnut Grove a couple of months ago, I've been obsessed with the tiny Delta town of Locke, which was founded by the Chinese after they left Walnut Grove following a 1915 fire that burned nearly the entire town down. Locke is a must-see destination with 100 year old buildings pretty much in their original state, and with some descendants of the original founders still living in town. I would guess that Locke Garden Restaurant is as old as the town, and just as funky. I was impressed with the delicious meals we enjoyed. The food is fresh and plentiful and tastes great. Take a road trip and go for the meal, and stay for the history lesson. Or make a day of it and check out neighboring Walnut Grove and Isleton, too!

Quirky but really good little place. The food was excellent. We had the wor won ton soup and mu shu beef and we polished off both of them. Highly recommended! We'll be back. Oh, the hot tea is just a tea bag in a pot of water. That could be improved. Otherwise, very happy.

Excellent food....having said that:Place is hella dirty tho. They need to clean all the walls and paint the interior. Base boards have 1 inch of scum on top. Don't touch anything...just sit in the chair and eat 😂

This delightful little restaurant is a very special place. The service is impeccable: the waitress is warm and friendly, and accommodating toward any special requests.The food is delicious! It's too greasy to be healthy, but there is not enough oil to make me uncomfortable. It's solid Chinese food, with good flavors and some clear skill demonstrated in the kitchen.This place is pretty casual, and the portions reflect that: they're huge!10/10 will eat here again.

Always good food. Sure, you have to wait a little bit, but the food is always worth the wait. I never dine in always call in my order. They are always more than accommodating in packing up the food. If you have several orders.

Awesome... we got there at 4pm and a party of 9 was before us. She the waitress let us know it was going to be a few minutes before she got to us. Well we drove 45 minutes what's another 10 minutes no biggie. The food was wonderful... Thank you...

This was a really good restaurant. Stop here every River drive we take with friends. Looks old but Locke is a historic Chinese worker community and the building fits perfectly. Please never change, its looked the same since even my dad was a kid in the 50's and is historic.

Absolutely amazing authentic flavors who cant help but whisper tales of tradition across your pallet. This is the place to end your search for real Chinese flavor shy of actually going to china.One chef to another. Love it.

Family owned, very old with a walk back to yesteryear. Always great fresh Chinese food,we've been coming to Locke Garden Restaurant for over 15 years. The little old town has lots of history. Worth the road trip and the walk through town.

The restaurant is superb and broad, the menu was delicious and the rates were very affordable. quick, productive service and very friendly waiters. Will definitely recommend this place.

it's good food and very nice people. Always a friendly greeting. I live in walnut grove so I am used to the very old buildings that are not remodeled at all and do not plan to remodel because we like them the way are and have been for as long as we can remember. It's part of the charm and what us locals love about Locke and the businesses in Locke. So when you visit, keep in mind that the buildings are very old and some are even crooked...because we like them that way.

Consistently great food! Historic and unique location. We usually do take out. Try string beans with black bean sauce or egg foo young.

Don't miss out! We discovered this place a few years ago when retracing a laundry route my 85yo father had traveled with his dad in the 1940's. Large, fresh menu authentically prepared, cooked to order and served by the couple who owns the restaurant. Numerous subsequent visits have turned it into a destination spot when we're in the area.The historical town of Locke is just a block over and a block long. Don't miss that either!

Loved the food in this little, local gem of history tucked away on the delta. I didn't mind the sloped floors and dated feel, but I'm subtracting a star for cleanliness. The place could do with a good scrub down around the window sills, but it didn't feel gross overall. The service was good and the food was delicious.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. We loved the excellent atmosphere and the food. The staff were super amiable. I am glad we eventually managed to try this place.

The service and the food was great...if your traveling thru Locke ...STOP !!at Locke Garden Restaurant for a bite you'll be glad you did...it located right on Hwy 160 ...don't just take my word for it....STOP..and try it for yourself...
